Since graduating with a First-Class Honours degree in Music from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 2013, I have dedicated time to the development of my craft and its implementation to numerous outreach projects. Above all, I believe that everyone can enjoy jazz, and that an appreciation for this art form can be nurtured from a young age.

The outreach experience which I have accumulated since my own education reflects my commitment to bringing jazz to young people coming from different backgrounds. As a Guildhall alumnus, I had the privilege of coaching the young musicians in the Barbican Young Jazz East Big Band, a collaboration between the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra of New York and various East London Music Hubs in 2016. My work in schools includes a lecture-recital at Portsmouth Grammar School as part of Kate Williams’s Finding Home project (funded by Arts Council England), a South Asian Fusion Project at a series of schools in Norfolk, and a workshop at King’s Bruton, as well as masterclasses for GCSE students at Burnt Mill Academy in Harlow and Lister Community School in Plaistow. It has been inspiring to supplement the core syllabus at all of these schools by teaching jazz history and providing feedback for the students’ individual and group performances.

I have been an exam accompanist for the Guildhall School of Music and Drama’s Jazz Department since 2013. In addition, I have acted as an external examiner at Royal Holloway, University of London.

I am available to give online lessons to students of all abilities. Areas of study include technique, stylistic awareness, improvisation, sight-reading, and music theory. I am equally familiar with Rockschool, LCM and Trinity College drum kit examination requirements, and can cover a range of styles from jazz to pop.

I hold an Enhanced DBS Certificate. CV available on request.
